Camhayle Theatre Club of Wadebridge, Cornwall was formed in 1977 and the first play performed was ‘ Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime ‘ based on the short story by Oscar Wild. The cast was comprised of many of the founder members.
Camhayle performs at least two plays a year, and over the years have produced plays by Shakespeare, Rettigan, Arthur Miller, Alan Ayckbourn, Shaw and Priestley to name but a few.
Today Camhayle is still going strong, with about fifty members and friends. We have regular play readings and social activities and are always looking for new members.
